You can have the best line-up in the city and still leave tickets on the table if the path from "I'm interested" to "I've paid" is clunky. Selling more tickets online is rarely about spending more on ads — it's about removing friction and adding urgency. Here's what actually works.
Win the first three seconds
People decide whether your night is worth their money almost instantly. A strong hero image, the date, the venue and one clear "Get tickets" button should hit them before they scroll. If the first screen is confusing or slow, they're gone — usually back to Instagram. This is the whole reason a real nightclub website outperforms a link-in-bio.
Manufacture urgency (honestly)
"I'll get it later" is where most sales quietly die. Give people a reason to act now: a live countdown to the night, tiered pricing with real deadlines (early bird, then GA), and a visible "selling fast" signal when it's true. Urgency works because it converts a vague intention into a decision.
Kill every step between scroll and checkout
Every extra tap loses buyers. Link straight to your ticketing provider — Eventbrite, DICE, Skiddle, whatever you use — and make the button impossible to miss. No hunting, no "DM for tickets," no broken links. The fewer decisions between wanting a ticket and having one, the more you sell.
Show that it's real
Social proof sells. Photos from past nights, your resident DJs, a previous sold-out flyer, a quote from someone who came — all of it tells a first-timer this is a night worth booking. A polished site also signals to agents and bigger promoters that you're legit.
Own the link
A Linktree sends people away; your own site keeps them and sells to them. It's the one link you control, it builds your brand, and it's where every ad, story and post should point. Here's why a link list isn't enough.
- One obvious ticket button, repeated down the page
- Countdown and clear ticket deadlines
- Direct links to your ticketing platform
- Photos and proof from past events
- Fast, flawless on a phone
Every site I build does all of this by default. Want one for your next night? Grab a free preview.
